Pour over ice for a yummy refreshing drink or heat up in a microwave-proof mug. This would be a fun thing to serve for a large group as well.
Chai Tea Recipe: adapted from Epicurious
4 inches of sliced ginger
4 cinnamon sticks
4 tsp. black peppercorns
20 whole cloves
12 cardamom pods
12 cups of cold water
16 bags of decaf black tea
4 cups of unsweetened soy milk
1/2 cup blue agave syrup + 1/2 cup of truvia sweetener (sweeten to taste)
Combine the spices and bruise in the bottom of pot. Pour 12 cups cold water over the spices and bring to a boil. Keep partially covered and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags. Add sweeteners and soy milk, whisking until sugar dissolves. Bring tea to simmer over med-high heat. Strain chai and serve immediately or store in fridge. Great served hot or over ice!
