Is your New Year’s Resolution of getting organized already in the trash? If so, get it out, dust it off and try out this awesome productivity app! Are you a list person? If you get great joy out of checking off your to-do items, or if you write things on your to-do list, just so you can check them off, this app is for you. I cannot tell you how much I love this app! Nozbe is much better than just a list maker…I will show you how I use this app to get stuff done! By the way, Nozbe is in the app store for FREE. It has a desktop and a mobile version for iPhone & iPad. You can send to-do list items from your e-mail or Evernote. It’s the best!
This is your LIST of lists. This screen is where you can toggle through your daily (Priority) to-do list, project lists, team members that you share projects with, etc. The first is your priority box, which is your daily box that you work through. The next is your huge inbox. That is where you place everything, so if you do have extra time to work on something, you can zip through that. The next box…MY FAVORITE…is the projects tab. More on that later!
This is a portion of my PRIORITY page – this contains all of my starred items. These items are a mix of items that come up each day or items that you have with today’s date as the due date. I love it because it helps me prioritize the things that need to be done today (or motivates me to do the important things) and doesn’t clutter up my priority list with things that aren’t due today.
This screen is my CATEGORY page. Everything you do should be in a category, i.e. work, home, errands, waiting for, etc… You can click on the errands category when you are doing errands. Awesome! Be prepared to never forget to do one of your errands again! (unless you forget to enter it into Nozbe! 🙂 The “waiting for” category is pretty slick, as well. If you have an assistant, a child, a spouse that you have delegated a responsibility to, place it here, so you don’t forget to check back with them on your “waiting for” items. Computer is handy, because you can select the computer category and see all the items that need to be done while you are on the computer.
This is my PROJECT page. I opened one of my project tabs and this is what I have listed under one of my projects. Each one of my New Year’s resolutions is listed as a project. In that project, I have mapped out my next steps. For most projects, I don’t know all the steps. But, I do know 2-4 of my next steps. That is what I write down and work on, on a consistent basis. It is super easy to read through my goals and next steps. Keeping your goals in front of you is one of the best ways to achieve them!
