This is the “AFTER” of our main guest bathroom. It has been the worst room in the house for a few years. I don’t know why I let it get so bad. It had horrible patch jobs, a creative paint job gone wrong (and then abandoned by yours truly!) I didn’t take a before picture because it was honestly, so embarrassing! ok, ok, here is a picture…it’s a close representation of the before of my bathroom.
So, we wanted to go architectural cool. That means lots of wood and metal. I’m positively giddy about the pallet wall. Use your sawzall to cut the nails in half – separating the planks from the cross sections. (In other words, don’t try to hammer the nails out and waste half of a beautiful Saturday…not speaking from a personal experience of watching hubs out the window. 🙂
I couldn’t find a mirror I liked. I wanted something shiny to contrast with the wood. The mirror is actually a mirrored tray that I found at Home Goods. So cute! Loved the color! In real life, it’s shiny.
This is the other side of the room…just in case you are dying of curiosity. 🙂 I decided to steer away from the traditional towel rod holder full of towels you can’t touch.
I love the wall color, in contrast to the white & brown. It really brightens up a room that has no natural light.
This was a great revamp on a tired, old bathroom. Thankfully, we didn’t have to change out anything major. Just painted, hung the pallet and got a few fresh decor items.
I hope you enjoyed and took away a few ideas to refresh your bathroom,
